Thank you for taking the time to address my question, and I apologize for asking it in what probably what not the most appropriate venue, but I wasn't certain how else to contact someone to ask.

I use the scanned materials partly for research--the release calendars in publications such as "Motion Picture News" are invaluable, and accessing them this way is much more convenient than trying to look up everything I need at the Library of Congress during twice yearly visits there. These materials are also just fun, fascinating reading. I can spend hours leafing through these publications. The service you are providing is wonderful, and well worth supporting!

There had been problems with the July-December 1935 edition of Photoplay, where it couldn't be accessed via the Collections page, but that appears to have been fixed.

The scanning center is reprocessing some of the volumes in our recent batch of materials due to a technical fault in the cameras. We sent four volumes of MPN (of three months each), and there were problems in the metadata records (since corrected) and in some of the scans. I expect the corrected volume will be up sometime next week. It is quite common for there to be little problems, so it is a good idea to wait a week or two before downloading the PDFs. The read-online version is updated automatically.

Can you give us any info on how you use the material we scan? Research, teaching, just fun reading?

Best wishes,

David Pierce
